Alumni Awards Nomination

Nomination criteria and procedures:

  • Nominees should fit the required criteria for each award.
  • Current members of the Alumni Association Board of Directors, the Alumni Awards Committee and employees of the ESU Foundation may not be considered for this award. 
  • Nominees must be present to accept the award at the annual Alumni Awards Banquet during Homecoming weekend (an alternate will be selected in the event that the first person cannot attend). 
  • All nominations must include the following: 
1. In no more than 500 words, detail the nominee’s qualifications for this award, based on the specific criteria required for the award. 

2. Newspaper articles, clippings, photographs and additional materials may also be submitted as part of the nomination (either digitally or via USPS). Please do not send originals as these materials will not be returned. 

3. The deadline for all nominations is May 31 of each calendar year.
  • The selection of the recipient is made by the Alumni Awards Committee and approved by the Alumni Association Board of Directors and the Office of Alumni Engagement. 
  • The recipients and nominators will be notified no later than June.
  • The record of nominees not selected for awards will be considered for five years, after which the individual may be re-nominated.
