Garrett Gillin ’11
Garrett Gillin ’11 graduated with a degree in Biotechnology and minor in chemistry and business. He later went on to complete his MBA at Drexel University. Gillin currently owns a digital marketing agency called 215 Marketing, located in Philadelphia, Pa. They are recognized as one of the leading agencies in the region, a Google Premier Partner, and were just listed on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing private companies in the US for 2020 (#1,582). He is also an adjunct professor at Brandeis University where he teaches graduate courses on digital marketing.
While at ESU Gillin was a member of the biotechnology club. He was fortunate enough to win an academic scholarship and internship with Sanofi Pasteur. Gillin was nominated for this opportunity by Dr. Jane Huffman, who was one of his professors at the time. “That internship was a really important experience in my life and without her confidence in me and recommendation, I wouldn’t have had that opportunity,” explained Gillin. Bing an ESU alumnus means to be driven, resourceful and ambitious, while staying true to the values of ESU.
Tina Hennessey ’15
Tina Hennessey ’15 graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication studies and English. While on campus, Hennessey was president of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), staff writer for The Stroud Courier, member of the Warrior marching and concert band and a member of the Lambda Pi Eta honor society. She also worked for both the communications studies department and the Office of University Advancement. After graduation, she became the associate director of Alumni Networks at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.
“I’m so thankful for my four years at ESU, and the opportunity to meet and learn from so many incredible people.” Hennessey said. One of her favorite memories was the communications studies major bar crawl. She also enjoys coming back to campus for Homecoming.
A fun fact about Hennessey is that she also received her MBA in marketing at Saint Joseph’s University.
